What was supposed to be a simple practice sketch turned into more of an internal reflection. Which flag should I use? Not pink, because though I am female and I love girly clothes, I don’t make being a woman an argument point. Not rainbow, even though I have had lovely beautiful experiences with women, I don’t identify as bi. Not Japanese or Italian, because though I have flown those flags before as they signify the motos I ride, I don’t define myself that way. I don’t define myself at all.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am human - with a wide variety of preferences that contrast and usually contradict that make up the whole of who I am. So for me, for now, Old Glory is the best flag for me to fly in this image - for the varieties, the contrasts and most importantly the contradictions that make up this country and me.&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://a-almeida.tumblr.com/post/33099141582</link><guid>http://a-almeida.tumblr.com/post/33099141582</guid><pubDate>Sun, 07 Oct 2012 14:34:28 -0400</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
